La plong\u00e9e peu profonde est un chenal, partant d'juste \u00e0 l'int\u00e9rieur du r\u00e9cif et se courbant vers la cr\u00eate de corail \u2013 le sommet du tombant en pente douce varie de 3 m\u00e8tres sous la surface \u00e0 13 m\u00e8tres de profondeur.<\/p>\n<p>Le chenal lui-m\u00eame longe la c\u00f4te et diff\u00e8re consid\u00e9rablement du r\u00e9cif qui l'entoure. Depuis le mur, vous pouvez suivre une passe vers le r\u00e9cif pour observer des poissons-demoiselles, des jeunes showtails tachet\u00e9s, des vivaneaux, des poissons-gatans, des barracudas, des vivaneaux, des poissons-chirurgiens, des poissons-ch\u00e8vres et des jeunes m\u00e9rous. Un autre r\u00e9seau de passes longe le mur sud, et des surplombs anim\u00e9s longent le mur nord parmi lesquels choisir. \u00c0 l'entr\u00e9e du chenal, recherchez les mur\u00e8nes vertes r\u00e9sidentes et les syngnathes qui ont \u00e9lu domicile dans le corail, ainsi que les vers de feu, les grandes plumes de poussi\u00e8re et les homards qui y vivent \u00e9galement. <\/p>\n<p>D'\u00e9normes bancs de sardines sont connus pour migrer \u00e0 travers le mur sud du chenal pendant les mois d'automne d'ao\u00fbt et de septembre, parfois si denses que la visibilit\u00e9 n'est que de quelques m\u00e8tres. En raison de la faible profondeur du chenal, c'est un site de plong\u00e9e parfait pour tous les niveaux de plong\u00e9e, mais un bon contr\u00f4le de la flottabilit\u00e9 est requis pour \u00e9viter de rayer le corail.
